Jai Shree Krishna

Well Palnaji you have described the signature very well, what a description. I was touched by the description and your Pushti Bhava. A wonderful vaishnav in making or what? Keep the good work.

Now to next symbol on Shree Krishna's Right foot:

Lotus

The lotus flower is really a symbol which really describes that endorphine effect like those group of chemicals found in the brain, which have an effect similar to morphine and this effect is endemic with krisha's form.

The Lotus flower is always found in fresh water and it always sits above water and the stem is anchored in the fresh water muddy bed. So the symbol is the power of Krishna to rise above all predicament, conquer and still be as fresh as water and as soft as the petals of the soft lotus upper crest.

So in a way Lord Krishna uses this symbol and gives the suggestive vibes when one looks into his lotus eyes. He energise watery eyes in his bhakta (devotees) which symbolises the heart with sinless but spiritually clean soul.

The water in the eyes is symbol of tears that are flowing in realisation of Him and once that light is anchored as tears, it purifies the soul, this process is known as HELAAG. A state of feelings towards Krishna and forever imbibing in divine seperation of soul which when shreads tears of seperation to acquire that eternal intimate attachment in Krishna. So in fact the lotus in Krishna's feet is that power which daliance a soul from Hilaag state to Sanindhiya. Sanindhiya is a state or a process where one become lovingly inseperable from physical presence of Shree Krishna.

Jai Shree Krishna
yes i agree a wonderful vaishnav in the making!palnaji your description was beautiful! thanx for sharing your bhav with us, i hope i can achieve the same. Pushtidasji when one goes through the process of heelag and reaches the state of Sanindhya does one go back?? and if you do get to that stage when you cant be seperated from Krishna's presence will he stay with you?

Jai Shree Krishna

That is a wonderful question. It is also probing into the sidhant (system) of Pushtimarg. I am sure you know that Pushtimarg is" Krupa " marg and that means it is the Path Of Grace. The title of this marg sums it all.

Once bitten ever smitten. Once bitten by Krishna's love, you are forever smitten and that is the anurag of thakorji. Krishna will never leave his Bhakta (devotees) after really excepting his penance, that is, the soul which voluntary self-punishment makes amends for sins, then Krishna will forgive repentant sinners (note in Christian Church, a sacrament in which repentant sinners are forgiven provided they confess their sins to a priest and perform a penance).

Unlike Christian penance, Pushtimargiya Vaishnavs do not have to confess their confessions to Pushtimargiya Guru. We have seen, in 84 and 252 vaishnavs varta, when a vaishnavs conduct has defied the Pushti code, then Shree Vallabh and various Vallabhkul Balak (Shree Vallabh's Family members) have shown their disapointments in that vaishnav and on this course of matter Krishna has never shown any peradventure, that is shown any doubts in the vaishnav.

Now after heelag realism, the pushti theory, or philosophy is that physical objects of sanindhia continue to exist whether they are perceived or not. Confused?

Well, lets see it in the case study of Gopis who in sanindhia reality in Maharas, suddenly found the heelag realm, KINGDOM in which Krishna became tirodham, an act of disappearing from raas leela. So it was a sudden translucent transition from physical presence (sanindhia) to the disappearance (tirodham) of Krishna, the Gopis were thrown into a disconsolate, a state of sadness beyond comfort, and felt very discomfort and embarrassed. In this discommode state gopis started addressing Krishna by singing that very distinguished and highly respected vraj dithyramb, a passionate choral hymn of heelag, which is known as Gopi Geet.

When we imbibe in this Geet, one can deduce very clearly, that even when Krishna disappeared in vision but Gopis knew he was with them in divine spiritual presence, so they sang to Him as if he was there. This is the state of Heelag in which you still have that spiritual sanindhia. So from this the philosophy of heelag and sanindhia becomes clearer. So once sanindhia goes, one does not go back but goes into divination, that is go into the art of discovering future events as though by supernatural power. So heelag is a natural divine suit for sanindhia.

Pushtidasji what are the signs that will depict (hmmm I like the word and also see why Pushtidasji uses it a lot) that thakorji (Krishna for all Krishan Bhakt) is with you in heelag, what were the signs on which Gopis in heelag knew Krishna was with them and sang Gopi Geet?

a question Trushnaji had raised earlier, "what about Mahaprabhuji...did he have a mixture of both?"
- it is understood that Shri Mahaprabhuji had a mix of both, Shri Swaminijis and Shri Thakorjis marks on the feet ... please feel free to correct this and provide further insight.

To add a little with regards to the comment on Gopi Geet ...

The minds of the Gopis were totally absorbed and infatuated with the thoughts of Lord Krishna, about his glories and thus they were earnestly longing for his vision. Thus he was with them in their thoughts and longings, though not visible to them

jayati te dhikam, janma na vraja
shrayata indira, shasvadat-trahi
(Pushtidasji, very nice breakdown and explanation. Thank you for pointing out the typo in your post below)

Jai Shree Krishna

Yes Shree Mahaprabhuji also have these symboles, some are duplicated from Radhaji's and Shree Krishna's charan chinha (Charan= feet, chinha=signs or symbole).

There are few chinha, for instance, "TORAN" chinha which is only found in Shree Vallabh's charnarvind (His lotus feet). The subject is vast on chran chinha, in fact, if we write on this symbols and its meannings we would be able to write a book full of thousand pages.

The Gopi Geet has 19 stanzas and all from different swabhavs (characters) of Gopis, in this instance, there were different ninteen gopis. Jagdishbhai, in Gopi Geet we see that Gopis sometime "butter" Krishna, sometimes tell him off, sometimes sings the glory of Him and so on. In that aspect, Gopis were more infactuated with all these mixed feelings and within that boundry they loved Krishna in its intense surrendership.

The opening stanza you quote

Quote:
jayati te dhikam, janma na vraja
shayata indira, shasvadat-trahi

Jayati = Glorious
te = it
dhikam = extremely (adhik baniyu)
janma = your birth
na Vraja = The Vraj bhumi (place)
shrayat = Honerable (please note the word is Shrayat and not shyata)
Indira = Laxmijis
shasva = always (nitya)
datrahi = lived here (vaas kariyo)

The meaning:
O krishna on your birth (pragatiya) Vraj became extremely glorious. Because of your glory, even Laxmijis always have chosen this place as their resident.

Jai Shri Krishna,

Here is a small attempt on a very basic level ....

A Swastik is said to represent Good health and hence is also the symbol for various types of Auspicious things.

Aum on the other hand represents everything, including parabrahm himself, so that would not be relevant as a charan chinah.

The (water) pots are said to represent, Longetivity (long life, etc), prosperity, etc..

We shall await for a more elaborate explanation...

Jai shree Krishna PYARA Vaishnavs,

Many thanks Jagdishji!!! Very Happy , i think i get the idea of the meaning but it would be really helpful if some one could elaborate. Also another question, if Thakorji is EVERYTHING, and Aum symbolises everything....why not have the symbol on his lotus feet?? Many thanks again!

JAI SHREE KRISHNA!!! Very Happy

Jai Shri Krishna,

I would guess that in the simplest terms, having OM/AUM as a symbol would be the same as having your own photo hanging from your neck.

This is usually not the done thing (we don't blow our own trumpet), and it would be saying something like... "i am everything", this does not help much, and ofcourse it would not help the devotees.

The symbols, on the other hand, identify all the key qualities of Thakorji and help the devotees so that they may be able to know Thakorji that little bit more at a personal level.
