Jai Jai Shree Gokulesh and Jai Jai Shree Krishna

Many people fear from donating their organs after death, especially their eyes. They think that they will not be able to find their way to god.
Is this true?

I don't think so because our soul departs from our body as soon as we die and takes its unnatural eyes with it .Our corpse is then just a non-living thing. What is the harm in then donating our eyes? What do you think?

Jai Shree Krishna,

Rahulji, I would agree with you. Our body is only temporary- however, whilst on bhutal our body is very important as it is the vehicle that our soul uses to do seva of Hari, Guru and Vaishnavs. However, once we leave bhutal, the body has no use for the soul as it leaves the lokik body like you said.

With a lokik body, one cannot do seva of Thakorji, so this is why Vaishnavs do apras when embibing into Thakorji's seva as it is said that when in apras, Maiya will automatically provide the soul with a tanunavatva to enable them to do Thakorji's seva (which the lokik eyes cannot see).

So, the same principle applies with the eyes, we would need to have alokik eyes to be able to see God, and this would be provided with the Grace of Maiya.

So personally, I would have no problem in donating any of my body parts if it means it will improve another soul's quality of life.

I hope this made sense.

Jai Jai Shree Gokulesh and Jai Shree Krishna

Thank you nitalji, your answer was satisfactory.

But yesterday I heard from someone that according to our shashtra , we are not to donate any of our organs. Now this is a real confusing situation. Can anybody tell why we cannot donate our organs?

Jai Shri Krishna/Jai Jai Shri Gokulesh

Rahulji it would be interesting to know which shastra mentions this and the reason, if any for not donating.
There are many who also donate blood, so does this also fall under the same ?
