JAY SHRI KRISHNA.
There is one ornament on the nose of Shri Thakurji.What is its name and any history behind this ornament?
Svarup after leaving Nandgav also offered this?
I do not know anything about this please enlight.

Good question Dattubhai hope someone will enlighten us on that.

In the meantime will just add a small varta which most vaishnavs know

When Shrinathji went to satdhara, in absence of Shri Gusaiji, with the help of Girdharji(HE came from mandir to the rath, on HIS shoulders,

Just imagine the sight of Shrinathji on Girdharji's shoulders. HE stayed here for long around 3 months ( that did give virah to HIS priya kirtaniyaji- Chaturbhujdas).

Shrinathji played holi with Gusaiji's full parivar in satdhara, all vallabh balak, all betiji and bahuji. ON the final day, they did, sarvasamarpan, of everything, including all ornaments.

There was young Kamalabetiji (around 8 yrs old). She forgot to give her nose ring. And Shrinathji saw that and said " Mari nathni lav" . and betiji did that, and was very happy. A vaishnav saw all this and was very impressed, so he made same ornaments, and gave it as bhet to the vallabh parivar.

Dattubhai your question the way I understand is that the ornament which is worn By Shree Nathji on His nose and you seek the name for this ornament.

The nose jewelry is called 'Nakvesar'

This is the shringar which Shree nathji wears for Shree Svaminji's Bhava and in some recent publication I have seen some of the writers have declared that the Nakvesar is worn as Shree Chandravaliji's bhava.

History has a few different version on how Shree Nathji happen to wear the nakvesar. I hope someone will reflect on it.

Vasantbhai I would like to add Prasang of P.B.Shri Govinddasji on whose shoulder and back shri Thakurji riding.
Even in Nijmandir during aarti they throw small pebales(Kankri)to each other and shri Gusaiji's comment Govind tero nato alag hey, tu jane and Shri Thakurji.

I could remember one shlok where discription of all the ornaments are.

Kasturi tilakm lalat patle,vrukshshthele kaushtubham,
Nashagre varmukti,kar tale vanu,kare kankanm.
Sarvange harichandanm su lalitam kathe ch muktavali.
Gop stree pariveshti te,vijayte Gopal chudamani.

there is another way second line nashagre GAJ MUKTI KAR TALE VENU......
here they have name ornaments on nose as varmukti,if any vaishavnav knows please write.
Pandit Jasrajji has sung this very well if any vaishnav wants please let me know I will send by e.mail.
