If I understand your request, you are seeking translations of popular Kirtans and Bhajans in English. This pages will not only depict Kirtans, Padas and Bhajans in English but our intention is to try to explain it in details and also wherever possible give background history of the kirtan etc.

Please let me have some request of popular kirtans and we will get our resident expert to convert it in English and also explain it in plain English.

Oh my lord, the wonderful Biharilal,
Today, I feel cold more than I could bear,
Coats were offered and sheets were wropped
And yet the cold would not subside.
The son of Vallabh, out of utter bewilderment
ordered an angithi to be placed before Him
But to no result. The cold was felt yet more
Thought he within himself and got a thin mattress
Stiched out of a long piece of cotton cloth
Wrapped he, that mattress around the body, Of Shrinathji
and wow . there was no cold.

He is kind He is merciful
He loves His bhakta dearly
and takes him forever in His Sharan

Such are the sports (Leela) of Shri KRISHNA

Raveena, that was a very good clue you gave infact.

Gusainji infact knew that the cold felt by Shri Thakurji was of a different type and he immediately requested Bhandari to give Him the names of vaishnavs who have sent the gifts.

Now vaishnavs it is simple please name the BHAKTA. This Bhakta was short of money but he sent his with pure love for Shri Thakurji.

Our Shriji is so (lovable,and merciful) kind He only looks at the BHAV.
