Jai Shri Krishna,

Well tried all of you and yes Nirupaji you did get the 2 correct but I wish you should have tried the translation too! Very Happy

Will give the meaning of few words before and then in story form

Aaj = today, Dadhi = curd, Mol = price, ichchhat = desire, gwalan = cow herd friends, banti dai = to distribute (share), palte = in exchange, dini = to give, khabar bhai = come to know (discovered) ------------- balance words are all easy.

Shri Parmanaddasji has composed this sonnet in sarang rag. This verse is sung near Shri Thakurji during daan days.

Shri Parmananddasji says that Shri Thakurji eats curds every day since He adores curd. Mother Yashoda serves Him fresh curd everyday with roti in the morning for breakfast (Mangala Bhog). Then the Rajbhog meal (Lunch time) also consists of curd.

But when in the forest while grazing His cows He cannot resist the urge to forcibly take daan (gift) from the Gopis curd then eat it.

But today Shri Shyam Sunder (Shri Krishna) walked by Himself to buy the curd and the price He wanted to pay was His own pearl necklace (dulri) so todays curd was not ordinary but very expensive as gold.

Even Shri Brahmaji could not help himself to the prasadi curd touched by Shri Krishna's hands but the same curd Shri Shyam Sunder shares with all His cow herd child friends.

Yashodaji, discovered the exchange of the dulri neclace for curd in the evening. Thus Parmananddasji concludes by saying that my dearest God performs a unique Leela everyday just to express and shower His love for His beloved devotees.

Jai Shri Krishna,

That was very nice Hetalji good going keep it up.

Here are few more words Pakar = to catch, nhavayo = to bathe,
chahat = to wish or desire, bolat = to say, speak etc

So let me now give you little background with small story then the next paras will be easy for all so please join in and dont feel shy.

This kirtan was not composed by Ashta sakha but by a great loving devotee Shri Vishnudas. He was so devout that he has had Shri Krishna's Leela's divine darshan.

One day Yashodama was running after Kankunvar, to catch him and give him a bath, and she had butter, misri and ladoos in her hand. She was looking for an excuse to tempt Kanhaiya, and attempt (desire) to catch him to have a bath.

She used her sweetest voice (madhur tone) to make Kanhaiya understand.

(But wow do we think it is easy to catch Shri Krishna? will see what happens in para two now.)

Jai Shri Krishna,

You are doing very good Hetalji this is the best way to learn.

Anganme = courtyard, rakhio = to place or to keep. you almost got it.

Here it goes para two

The gold stand had been placed in the courtyard of the Nandalay. Closely there were pots of hot and cold water. The other preparation included, a gold bowl filled with paste of "phulel", "ambla" and sandal paste to apply on His body; there was also a comb and a mirror etc. all kept ready.

Jai Shri Krishna,

Good going Sitalji and Jagdishbhai,

Lets see the background first.

With those above preparations Yashodama also tried to tempt Him with butter and ladoos, and caught Him to have a bath.

She was mighty pleased with herself and happy with the way it worked.

But look at Kanha the way He thinks!!!! ---- Now the translation in story.

Meanings of Uth = to get up, bhaje = to run.

Kankunvar thought, mother thinks that she has caught me because of her intellect I want to break mother's pride.

So while mother was unbraiding his plait (hair)He got up and ran.

walla vaishnav did you see Shri Krishna's Lila!!!!
