Jai Shri Krishna,
Shri Surdasji was given different names during his life span.
Please name them. Also inform who gave these names and when and how He achieved those. _________________ Vasant Punjabi.

Jai Shree Krishna
Was also given the name "SurShyam". Because Thakorji wrote some pada on Surdasji's behalf. _________________ Jai Shree Krishna

Jai Shri Krishna,
Yes all of you are correct
Sur was given this name by his parents
Sur Sagar was given to him by Shri Mahaprabhuji who compared him to the ocean which is huge and filled with water so was his heart which was full of Lilas and Surdas proved it by singing those lovely kirtans full of lila bhav.
Sur Shyam was given to him by Shri Goverdhan Nathji ( Shri Thakurji Himself) Surdas had a desire to complete 125,000 kirtans and after completing 100,000 he was worried how will he still accomplish his goal and Shri Thakurji completed 25,000 kirtans for him with the name of Sur Shyam.
Ok Vaishnavs there are few more names please make a guess.
Need a hint alright! what did Shri Gusainji used to call him? _________________ Vasant Punjabi.

Jai Jai Shri Gokulesh,
Yes Neelamji, but there was one more name given by Shri Gusainji can you recollect?
Shri Surdasji was a very good singer and hence Shri Gusainji name him Surdas as his " Dasya bhav" never reduced nor he was ever proud but instead was full of "Dhinta" .
Shri Surdasji had created more then 7000 padas of Shri Swaminiji in most he even confirmed the alokik bhav whcih pleased the Swaminji and hence she gave him the name of "Suraj" .
As Suraj (Sun) brings forth the light to the whole world which brightens up the earth so does Shri Surdasji enlightens the swaroop bhav and brightens the alokik bhav in his kirtans. _________________ Vasant Punjabi.

Jai Shri Krishna,
Shri Surdasji's used to praise Shri Vallabh and Shri Gusainji considering himself to be very lucky and also pleased with their association with them as he could actually witness all the Thakurji's lilas in this life and his mind was always filled with lilas.
Hence at the end when Surdasji knew that his time has come to give up his life, he was eagerly waiting for darshans of Shri Gusainji at Parasoli and Shri Gusainji being Antaryami knew same and called all the vaishnavs and said
"Pushtimarg ko Jahaj " ( Surdasji (Ship) full of Pushti Lilas ) is going so if anyone have any questions please ask at your earliest as the ship will sail soon. _________________ Vasant Punjabi.

Jai Shri Krishna
Please excuse errors and kindly help to correct the same... the following is from my limited understanding...
Palnaji, nicely put ... demigods are also called "Sur" - and demigods by definition are sundar/beautiful. Sur can also be a type of category that classifies certain type/group of people/souls - example, sur, asur, nar so demigods/gods, non-demigods or non-godly or mainly those who are highly materialistic (there are unique exceptions such as prahlad maharaj), humans..etc
also from the line "...sur, nar, muni, jaaki pada-raj vandan" _________________ Best Wishes
