Jai Shree Krishna Vallah Vaishnavs,
I was pondering as to the importance of Mukhwas? Is it essential to take it after eating food? and if so why? A plea to all silent readers who I am sure hold much knowledge, please par take in the topic and share how ever little you know.

Jai Shree Krishna

One of the reasons for taking mukwas after having Thakorji’s adhramat is to protect you from external elements and non-vaishnavs. Pusthdidasji has discussed this under the topic Siddhant Rahasja. Please read below:

Quote:
In Pushtimarg, when you take "Shakdi" prashad, one should have MUKHWAS (mouth freshner). Mukhwas is accepted as an "iron curtain" which blocks (stops), protects the Materialistic Body agaist "Sparshjah" dosh (sin). They say when one takes Thakorji's Adhramrut (Prashadum), the Adhramrut infuses Thakorji's grace on that particular vaishnav. This grace is then protected by Mukhwas so the grace imbibes into one's body and this way the body maintains the alokik (spiritual) constituent, and to protect the constituents of Adhramrut, vaishnavs take Mukhwas. The protection is really a rudimentary process elevated by Mukhwas

Once you consume mukhwas, you do not need to wash you’re hands as its so pure. Could vaishnav's please elaborate on this?

Thanks

JSK

Jai Shree Krishna,
Thanks Sitalji for such a quick response. I was hoping for a detailed discussion on the essential ingredients in Mukhwas and what is the purpose for each ingredient. Undeniably it is very important to take Mukhwas, so what is the bhav behind it? When, where and why did the taking of Mukhwas arise? What does each ingredient contribute to the spice mix and why is that ingredient necessary?

Jai Shree Krishna

Dear vaishnavs where are you all hiding? Vasantji, Jagdishji, Unnatiji, Trushnaji, Sunatiji, Nirupaji, Trushaji, Inaxiji, Hoshilji, Pratikji, Nitalji and the rest of the vaishnavs on Tibari. Am eagerly awaiting for the questions to be answered. Please contribute silent readers, so we can all interact and have lovely satsang together.

Thanks

JSK
