Jai Shree Krishna

In Pushtimarg we have tradition that we in the begining of any auspicious occassion, utsav and manorath we commence with Manglacharan. Mangle means auspicious and acharan is reciting. According to legend in Pushtimarg all the prominant swaroop (form) of Shree Vallabh and His parivar (family) always pandered in recitation of Manglacharan.

In their capacity all the prominant form of Shree Vallabh Parivar followed Shree Vallabh, as Shree Vallabh was the first one to panegyric poem to praise Shree Krishna (Thakorji) with Manglacharan. He created His own version of Manglacharan and since then everyone has followed the tradition.

Now can you recall when shree Gokulnathji first did Manglacharan and why?

Jai Shree Krishna

The first time when Shree Gokulnathji did Manglacharan, it was when Aapshree did vivachan (thesis) on Sarvottam Stitra.

The Manglacharan was in Sanskrit. Here what first two stanzas were written:

Quote:
Mangla Charan

Natva Pitrupadambhoj maihika mushmikarthanam ||
taprotak achariyana namni vivreshyo yathamati ||1||

The aarth (meaning):

In this Lok (materialistic world) and Parlok (Spiritual world), who meaningful imbibes in these both world, my father Shree Gusainji, I bow, the most splendid form, and I narrate what he had so luminously bejeweled the woderful words by Him on Shree Mahaprabhuji. This thesis is written as per my understanding and I stand to take responsibilities.
