I have recently read the mahatmya of ashtakshar mantra so i want to add something here.
The ashtakshar mantra has given the title "Mantra Raj/Mantra shiromani" .
To achieve the god's love there is concept of NAVADHA BHAKTI mentioned in Shrimad Bhagwatmahapuran which is already discussed in detail in POST QUESTIONS??????????
Shravan,kirtan,smaran,padsevan, archan,vandan,dasya,sakhya and aatma-nivedan.
Upto-7 types from shravan to dasya is achieved by aastakshar-mantra only.and by repeted recitatation of aastakshar mantra yo can get the kripa of shriVallabh then shri thakurji and finally shrithakurji will bestow his kripa on jiva and jive will be able to feel the NIKUNG-LILA in his heart.
we can explain the effect of this mahamantra in 3 forms
1-adhibhutik :ye mantra sagla ROG, PAAP, DOSH mitawe che.bhaymukt kare che.
2-Adhyatmik:by the practice of yoga a person get ASTASIDDHI. and his KUNDALINI get JAGRUT.he get ultimate power.Same type of power we can get from recitation of ASTAKSHAR MANTRA only.
3-Adidaivik:we get the kripa of shri thkurji and feel the NIKUNG LILA in our heart.

so as per my view if in this kali kaal because of time shortage we are not able to do any thing we should hold the rope of aastakshar-mantra which is given by our great guru Shrivallabhacharya ji.

Shri Bhagwatji explained that one -one bhakti step is siddha to one person by great efforts like i) shravan siddha to Raja Parikshit ii)Kirtan to sukdevji etc.
But by the kripa of Shti Mahaprabhuji we can achieve the7 bhakti steps by one mantra only.

This may have already been said and i may have missed it so please excuse the repetition....

Ashtakshar mantra deeksha is not given to any child younger than 40 days old.

Also, Shri Mahaprabhuji considers this to be a Paroksh mantra and as such should not be uttered in front of thakorji in seva, etc. But it can and should be recited anywhere else.
