Jai Shri Krishna,

Well as we all know Shri Thakurji lives in Gaulokdham where everything is divine, even Shri Giriraj mountain is not only beautiful but magnificient with the river Shri Yamunaji flowing past it.

At the base, on the banks of the river, there is spread of sparkling soft sand, it is surrounded by woods on all four sides.

Trees, creepers, bushes, beautiful fragnant flowers are a blend of the picturesque natural creation. There is also pleasant whispers of the birds like parrots, Koels, Mynas, Pigeons, plus the crawling of the Crows filled the air. Here and there were goves of grass laden carpets such a beautiful atmosphere which made it winter like cold even in summer.

This happened one day, in the afternoon when all the gopis and ---
were inside in one of the groves, they were exchanging pleasant conversations as a way of entertainment when a LILA took place and please any one knows this Lila which is why our Thakurji is called Shri Dwarkadheesh.

Jai Shri Krishna,

Ok let me add more hints to make it easy

All the gopis were with Shri Yamunaji in the grove and this grove happened to have two entrance doors one in the front and one in the rear and in the center of the grove was a throne where Shri Yamuna Maharaniji was seated surrounded by all the gopis who were seated on all three sides.

It so happened that our Nut-Khat Shyam Sunder Shri Krishna happened to pass by and he took a very good peek thru the rear entrance and the gopis immediately noticed Him but Shri Krishna gestured them with His finger to remain silent ------------------

Now you all know what happened-----------------?

or will continue soon

Jai Shri Krishna,

Lets continue

Now Shri Thakurji was actually behind Shri Yamunaji's back and she did not know what was happening as He tip toed soundlessly into the grove, without forewaring Her. He reached behind Her and covered Her eyes with His two hands, this startled Shri Yamunaji.

She asked loudly : Who is it? Who is it? No reply. Shri Yamunaji became impatient.

In order to appease Her, Shri Thakurji tried a trick He has both the hands on Her eyes

Now vaishnavs what was trick Shri Thakurji played??

Need a hint in my words I would say peek-aboo leela.

Jai Shree Krishna

Vasantbhai what a suspense. Did Krishna create two more hands and asked vanrai to tell Yamnaji who he was? Or have I got mixed up with other story?

Jai Shri KRishna,

Thanks for joining in Anjanabhen and Pushtidasji yes, you both got it correct so lets continue with the Leela.

Yes, He manifested two more hands which only Shri Thakurji could do to please his bhaktas anywhere, wherever and whenever He wishes right.

He is really capable of doing anything, with those two hands He held a flute to His lips and started playing it. Through the flute notes He said : I AM SHYAM, I AM SHYAM.
Shri Yamunaji was overjoyed. She took Shri Thakurji's hands away from Her eyes and placed them on Her neck.

Then they palyed the game a leela called peek-a-boo (hide and seek or ankh micholi leela)

Also according to Shri yamunaji's wish they both sat on the swing this is called HINDOLA LEELA.

Gopis were so pleased to get all those darshans and this divine pastimes that they all decided and gave a new name to Shri Thakurji and that is Shri Dwarkadheesh.

Bolo Shri Dwarkadheesh Ki Jai.Now why this name ??

Well in sanskrit '"Dwar" means Door , "K" means water, and "Adhish" means King.

The entrance to the grove is near Shri Yamuna River. So the one who is the king of Shri Yamunaji's grove is Shri Dwarkadheesh.

The Gopis deaclared Shri Thakurji is their king as Shri Dwarkadheesh gave them darshan with four hands, His lower left hand holds a couch shell,His upper hand holds the chakra, His right upper hand a mace, His lower right hand holds a lotus flower. On His chest He wears a Kaustubhmani and on His head a Crown.

They all together sang the glories os Shri Dwarkadheesh and Shri YamunaMaharani. The entire Gaulokdham was filled with bliss.

Jai Shree Krishna

That was wonderful prasang of kunj leela. I have also the similar prasang about Dwarkadhisji.

In Pushtimarg we have only Dwarkadhishji with four hands (chatur Bhuja)? Chatur mean four and Bhuja means hands.

Before any Goverdhan Nathji's swaroop came on earth, the first form of Shree Goverdhan swaroop appeared in the form of Shree Dwarkadhishji.

When Shree Brahmaji sprung from the Nabhi Kamal (Belly Button) of Purnapurshottam (Form of Lord Krishna). At that time Shree Purnapurshottam was resting on Lotus flower. Shree Brahmaji fell into the water and He landed at the bottom of the river. He looked at the river bed and then noticed the stem of Lutus flower from where he had fallen. So he made attempts to climb this lotus flower.

When he reached the surface of the water he sat on the lotus flower and looked round. He was looking for his father. He wondered who his father was and why he left him here. After unsuccessful attempts in looking for his father he decided to meditate. His meditation lasted for at least 1000 years. In the end God appeared and gave a boon that he will be able to create Universe and he will also worship his father in the form of Dwarkadhisji. So this way the form of Dwarkadhisji was the first swaroop and was first served by Brahmaji.

The time Dwarkadhishji was formed , the swaroop had only two hands but, whilst, He was with Brahmaji an interesting event occured in Nikunj.

Dwarkadhisji loved Ankh Micholi (Hide and seek) games. One day swaminiji was waiting for Dwarkadhisji and all the sakhis were setting shringar and sajavat. As per his usual habbits, Dwarkadhishji appeared from behind and put both his hands on Swaminiji's eyes.

"Who is it?" Swaminiji exclaimed. To this, Thakorji (Dwarkadhishji) created two more hands and with gesture, using these hands, asked every Vanrai (Greeneries) and sakhis to sing in raga bhairav. The song was the clues of who was the personality who had rested His hands on Swaminiji's eyes. Dwarkadhishji also played the flute and to this Swaminiji quickly removed His hand and then turn round, hugged Shree Thakorji. She was so please to be hugged by Dwarkadhishji and especially the four Bhujas (hands).

She smiled at Him and in her nightingale's, sweet and soft voice asked Him,"Pyare, please keep these four hands on your lovely forms and also do give me alingan (hug) with all four hands."

Thakorji pomised and in return Swaminiji gave four things to keep on His Bhuja. What were they?

Clue: surf on www.parishad.org.uk and chech out the NIDHI Swaroop section. Perhaps you will find the answer there.

Bolo Shree DWARKADHISHJI KI JAI.
