Jai Shree Krishna

Thanks Jagdishji for the prompt response, that's brilliant now you will be able to correct my mistakes Rolling Eyes

Please read below for the Adhyatmic explanation of the story by Je Je Shri,

Vatsaan Muchan Pachit Samay (Please excuse the spelling)

Even though a jeev’s karma’s have not yet been balanced out, Thakorji bestows His Krupa and liberates the soul from its sins

Breaking the pots full of makhan denotes destruction of a person’s ego and the monkeys represent a soul’s wandering mind, which Thakorji gradually nourishes to reach it’s divinity

In reality the Gopi’s celebrate utsav on the day Kanha steals from their home‘s, in a festive mood they distribute prasadi makhan to all the neighbours. The complaints are an excuse to receive darshan again and again. Each gopi longs for the day that Kanha will bless her home and steal makhan;

Shyam Sundar Va Chotte Chotte Kanuva

Shyam Sundar Va Chotte Chotte Kanuva

Shyam Sundar Va Chotte Chotte Kanuva

Mere Ghar Aaya Karo, Bansi Bajaiya Karo

Mere Ghar Aaya Karo, Bansi Bajaiya Karo

Shyam Sundar Va Chotte Chotte Kanuva

What is makhan chor leela? It is actually a bhakt na chit ni chori. When a thief has been to your home, you wonder how he entered the room, what he was like, how many items he must of taken and where else in the house he would have been. Even though the thief had left the building hours ago, the person who resides in the home keeps going over and over the incident within the mind and also warns others

Now imagine what happens when Thakorji steals from the home. One forgets the material world and becomes spiritual. A thief run’s away prior to the owners returning, though Thakorji faces the owner before he leaves the home. Once Thakorji’s dhrasti fall’s on a soul, they are immediately liberated, they become Thakorji‘s.

In summary Makhan Chori leela is a play to steal the soul’s mind away from the material world and direct it towards devotion of Shree Thakorji

Jai Shree Krishna

Shree Dwarkeshji’s Pravachan continued.

Kaliya Nag Daman leela was to happen very soon and Shree Thakorji decided that it was best for Shree Balramji not to be part of this play as he was an incarnation of Shesh Nag. So one day Thakorji walked up to Yashoda Maiya complaining about His Dau Bhaiji.

“Yashoda Maya shall I tell you what Dau Bhaija did the other day?”

Balramji overheard the conversation and moved closer “Yes Kanha, go on I want to hear as well”

Kanha continued “Maiya he did something really bad”

“Yes go on Kanha tell Yashoda Maiya what I am suppose to have done” Balramaji said in a firm tone

“Maiya you know Dau Bhaiji, he killed a Ghaderu the other day”

Annoyed Balramji confronted Kanha “So Kanha when you kill Bhakasur and Aghasur then you are a Hero and when I killed the Demon Dhenasur you called him a Ghadero, I am not coming out with you tommorow!

Which was exactly the reaction Shree Thakorji was looking for, the next morning Kanha played such a game that the ball fell into Shree Yamunaji’s waters. Je Je Shri explain here that Shree Yamunaji waters is also a form of bhakti, and here bhakti had to be purified. Kaliya naag represents the Indriyo which had to diverted.

When Thakorji entered the waters he defeated the Snake and danced on Kaliyag’s heads, The Naag devi’s humble told Kanha that he was not capable of punishing anyone, all he ever did was Krupa.

Thakorji replied “How can you say that, look I am jumping on your husband’s head”

The Queens smiled “Prabhu yogi’s and saints do thousands of years of meditation to acquire you, yet they do not even receive the grace of your Charan Kamal darshan. Over here our husband is blessed by having your Charan on his head. Dear prabhu you do not know how to punish you always Grace the soul.

Thakorji hit Kaliya naag with his Shree Hast and again the queens smiled. Dear Lord these Shree Hast are rare for Shree Laxmiji and our husband achieved such easy access, Dear Lord you definitely do not know how to punish.

Je Je Shree explains further:

All the other demons were killed whereas Kaliyaag wasn't because he symbolises the indriyo. When the eyes see bad things you do not get rid of them, instead attach them to see good things. If one listens to bad discourses, the attention should divert to Bhagwad Katha. If the vaani is saying auspicious things, you train it to recite Bhagwad naam. All the indriyo can be diverted from lokik to alokik. Shree Thakorji had Graced Kaliya naag by leaving his Charan Imprints on his head.

Dear vaishnavs, many of you must of heard these lovey vachnamruts, please feel free to correct and add.

Jai Shri Krishna,

Very interesting Sitalji, enjoyed it.

One more similar story

Kaliya (IAST:Kāliyā, Devanagari: कालिया), in Hindu mythology, was the name of a poisonous Nāga living in the Yamuna River, in Vrindavan. The water of the Yamuna for four leagues all around him boiled and bubbled with poison. No bird or beast could go near, and only one solitary Kadamba tree grew on the river bank.

The proper home of Kāliyā was Ramanaka Dwipa, but he had been driven away from there by fear of Garuda, the foe of all serpents. Garuda had been cursed by a yogi dwelling at Vrindavan so that he could not come to Vrindaban without meeting his death. Therefore Kāliyā chose Vrindavan as his residence, knowing it was the only place where Garuda could not come.

Once Krishna and herdboys were playing ball, and while playing Krishna climbed up the Kadamba tree and hung over the river bank, the ball fell into the river and Krishna jumped after it. Kāliyā rose up with his hundred and ten hoods vomiting poison and wrapped himself around Krishna's body. Krishna became so huge that Kāliyā had to release him. So Krishna saved himself from every attack, and when he saw the Brij folk were so much afraid he suddenly sprang into Kāliyā's head and assumed the weight of the whole universe, and danced on the naga's heads, beating time with his feet. Then Kāliyā began to die. But then the naga's wives came and prayed to Krishna with joined palms, worshipping Krishna and praying for their husband.

Kāliyā, recognizing the greatness of Krishna, surrendered, promising he would not harass anybody. So Krishna pardoned him and then let him go free to leave the river and go to Ramanaka Dwipa. Some identify it as Fiji[1].

Jai Shree Krishna

Thanks Sunitaji, that was a really lovely explanation.

Shri Yadunath Bawa in his Bhagwat Katha explains:

On the seventh day when Parikshit Raja’s death was nearing, Sukdevji started the Bhagwat Kath on Shree Krishna’s marriages. Je Je shri explains that in ordinary circumstances when a person ‘s death is so close, then he/she would definitely not be interested in hearing vis-à-vis nuptials.

Although here Sukhdevji knew that after having heard the Bhagvat Katha for six days, Parikshit Raja had become eligible to recognize the inner meanings of the Katha. It didn't take long for Parikshitji to understand that the marriages represent the soul’s Brahmasamband Kath.

Je Je Shree further explains that one gets married in this jagat and also weds Shree Krishna. In a worldly marriage the husband can get occasionally annoyed, on the other hand prabhu never becomes upset with his jeev. In this world one does not stay married forever, however their marriage/bond with Prabhu is eternal and never diminishes

Meera Bai one’s said:

Esa var ko kya varu jo jeeye marjaiye, aise odu chundadi maro chudlo akhand ho jaiye

What is the relationship of the soul with Brahm?

Once a Guru called his discipline and told him to go to the sagar and fetch some jal in his anjali. The discipline followed his orders and immediately brought back some jal in his anjali and presented this to his guru.. The Guru then asked him what he thought the difference was between the jal in the anjali and the Sagar

The discipline simply answered; Guruji I do no see a difference, according to me they both taste the same and the colour is also identical

The Guru shook his head and said; There is a vast difference between the jal in the anjali and the sagar. The colour and taste may be same, nonetheless the sagar has a depth ness which the jal in the anjali does not posses. The anjali jal here represent the soul who knows prabhu, and has a brief understanding although lacks the anand. Sat is there and so is Chit, but Anand is missing within the jeev

Jeev relates oneself with me and my family, when the Brahmasamband ceremony takes place, the soul starts to realise its own identity.

The Guru then instructed for his disciple to pour the anjali jal back into the Sagar, the disciple acted as per request. His Guru then said:

“ Beta now the anjali jal has merged with sager and possesses everything that the sagar has”
