LETTER 41

My Dear Brother,

All worldly activities should be undertaken
with a view to make them useful in Hari's service. First and
always, contemplated Shri Krishna and not the world. He does not
like His bhaktas to be attached to the world. If they are, He
avoids them and their mundane activities are not perfected. Have
pure bhava in Hari, free of deception. He is the inner controller
and knows everyone's bhava. Hari perfects the world and removes
obstacles for only those bhaktas who have pure bhava. Bhaktas
should engage in the world only as much as is needed. Then
regardless of how extensive it becomes, it is never obstructing.
Otherwise, if they do not connect to Krishna, the expanding world
hinders them and Krishna excludes them. So make Shri Krishna's
seva the main subject of the mind and other activities secondary.

Shri Krishna's seva is both a means as well as the fruit. It
can be performed with the body and is divine. For that reason it
is necessary to have good association to increase bhava. Like
fire is extinguished without fuel, so the worldly bhava destroys
the divine bhava. Always, be very eager for Hari's darshan. He is
an ocean of mercy will not give solace in worldliness. Hari is
concerned with His bhaktas like a father looks after his son.
Therefore, without a doubt, only a fool has anxiety. Those who
follow Shri Mahaprabhuji, always keep firm what I have taught.
When Hari is worship everything always is a auspicious.
