That was alovely kirtan Manishji. Here are some interesting facts about Shree Gusainji:

Tehi yehi, yehi tehi, kachu na sandeh

1. It was on Vikram Samvat 1572 Magsar Vad (Gujarati month), 9th day of the month, Shree Gusainji was born. He was born with Kasturi Tilak on His forehead.

2. Soon after His birth, the Kul-guru (family priest and Guru) Shree Garhachariyaji visited Shree Mahaprabhuji and did darshan of Shree Gusainji. When he saw Shree Gusainji He said as fillowings. 'This child is shakshat avtar of Purna-Purshottam Bhagvan. He will fulfil every dreams of the family and I see two marriage in His life. He will have seven sons and four daughters. You must name Him as "Shree Vithalnathji". He will also gather many celetial jiav-atma for Pushtimarg and also will famous in the Path of Grace.'

3. It was not Shree Mahaprabhuji, but Shree Gargachariyaji who gave Mahamantra in Shree Gusainji's ears and put the Kanthi on his neck.

4. Did you know that Shree Gangaji did Shree Vithalnathji's (Gusainji's) charan sparsh when Aapshree was only one month old?

I recall the story and had put it on the web site. Anyway as no one responded to question I assume that now is the time to put that prasang on these pages.

Here is the prasang:

Shree Gusainji and Gangaji

This event happened just when Shree Gusainji was only one month old. This was an official Namakaran (Naming the child ceremony) Utsava. Every members of the family gathered at the river bank of Shree Gangaji (River Ganges). The ceremony for Ganga Puja was in progress and at that time Shree Gusainji was laid on the upper level of the banks from where the man made steps were leading down to River Gangaji's holy water. All the other family members went into water to perform Ganga Puja.

Shree Gusainji was not used to be left alone and Aapshree started to cry. When Shree Mahalakshmiji heard Shree Vithalnathji's cry, her mother's instinct attained that gallant deed. She immediately made her Stan pan (breast feeding) available to the little balak who was crying. She was so engrossed in feeding the child that she did not realise that the water of river Ganges were rising and it almost reach the steps she was sitting on. Conveniently Shree Gusainji feet were dangling and the touched the rising water of Shree Gangaji. As soon as the water touched His feet, a beautiful sixteen year old woman appeared from the water, she was well dressed and had gold ornaments. She touched Shree Gusainji's feet and did Dandvaat. Then She smiled at Mahalakshmiji and said," Your son is an avatar of Bhagvan."

Mahalakshmiji was amazed and also slightly amused, she looked sixteen year old Gangaji and then looked at Vithalnathji (Gusainji). Gangaji smiled again and slowly but swiftly disappeared into the water. This was a second time the family was told that the Child Gusainji is a avatar of Shree Prabhu.

Thanks Jagdishbhai and Unnatiji for kind words. Here are some more datas for our reference:

1. On Vikram Samvant 1580 Chaitra Sood (Gujarati month) noam (9th day of the month), Shree Vithalnathji was only eight year old, learned Gayatri Mantra. After listening to the vivechan (explaination) on Gayatri Mantra, Shree Mahaprabhuji gave Brahmasambandh diksha to Shree Vithalnathji.

2. The eldest son Shree Gopinathji always did Shreemad Bhagvat Patha and Shree Vithalnathji did Shreemad Bhagavat Dashmasakandh Patha. Both of them will only eat after finishing the above chores.

3. The above chores were very long and sometimes it was very late when both the brothers were able to eat. Due to this reason, Shree Vallabh created Shree Purshottam Sahastra Naam (a poem which was based entirely on Shreemad Bhagavat). And for Shree Gusanji He created Treevidh Namavali. This Namavali, yes you guessed it, was based on Shreemad Bhagavat Dashma Skandh.

4. From young age Shree Vithalnathji had acquired a flare for horse riding. Aapshree used to ride horse with friends and used to tour the forest, mostly the nearby forest which was surounded by River Ganges (Ganagaji). After the rididng excercise, He used to have massage by the river banks. Relaxed muscles then were again put to a task for Mal-kusti (wrestling). He was a champion wrestler in the area. After wrestling He again relaxed His body by swimming in the river. He loved swimming in River Gangaji for hours.

Thanks Trushnaji and Nirupaji. Yes you are absolutely right about musical talent of Shree Gusainji. Here are some more facts about Shree Vithalnathji:

1. At very young age, Shree Gusainji had flare for painting and drawings. He also was champion in paper carving art, that is Origami. In the evenings he used to gather young friends and enjoyed dancing, and because of this interest, Aapshree had built quite a team which became expert in Raas-leela games. This hobby developed into music and then started creating his versions of music and songs. He provided music to his own lyrics and had won few competition for his own composition.

2. One day when in Aprash with Shree Mahaprbhuji, Shree Gusainj was engrosed with Rajbhog Aarti. As soon as Aarti was done, Shree Gusainji started his rendering of a lovely Sanskrit kirtan. This was His first attempt to sing in Sanskrit. The kirtan was Vrajraj Virajit Goshvare... This kirtan's lyrics and the bhava was so exotic that even Shree Nathji was pleased with the kirtan.

3. Shree Mahaprabhuji taught the Shrigar seva and also made Shree Gusainji expert in Jyotish vidya (Astrology). After that study Aapshree was educated in Sanjivani Vidiya (Education on Medicines, herbs and sloka to heal people).

4. When the Param Vaishnav Shree Gajan Dhavan's saviya swaroop Shree Navneet Priyaji was given back to Mahaprabhuji, Aapshree gave this swaroop to Shree Gusainji and asked Him to to serve the swaroop.
(Note: Navneet Priyaji is one of the Nav-nidhi swaroop and at present time thie swaroop resides in Shree Nathdwar.)

5. The famous Sankrachariya Madhusudan Sarasvati used to visit Mahaprabhuji on a regular basis and on one occassion, Shree Vallabh asked him to take interest in Shree Gusainji's education. To this He quick called upon his most advanced disciple Shree Madhav Sarasvati and asked him to take classes with Gusainji. It was in Charnat when Madhusudan took charge of Shree Gusainji's accademic progress.

Shree Gusainji was very mischevious student and also side tracked when Madhusudan Sarasvati was trying to teach Him. Can you recall what did Shree Vithalnathji did in Madhusudan's class?
